Applications of BBa_K4244046
The design of the flip chromoproteins (BBa_K4244046-BBa_K4244049) was done with the aid of Alphafold. This allowed us to predict if proper folding could be restored. Optimal chromoprotein expression was achieved in E. coli BL21, giving more vibrant colour. The flip constructs have not yet been succesfully tested in the lab.
